What will be your main focus in this position?
As a Compliance Associate at Insigneo, your primary responsibility will be to support the compliance team in ensuring the company adheres to local and international regulations, particularly those set by the Central Bank of Uruguay. You will work closely with other departments to maintain and update policies, assist in audits, and ensure that internal procedures align with the regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities and Challenges
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to comply with local and offshore regulatory bodies, especially focusing on Central Bank of Uruguay regulations.
Communicate changes in policies, procedures, and the regulatory environment to employees and registered representatives.
Integrate regulatory updates into internal policies and ensure compliance with external regulatory agencies.
Assign training modules to registered representatives in line with regulatory requirements.
Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Assist in preparing reports with recommendations for improvements to operational procedures, product redesign, and other internal compliance requirements.
Implement corrective actions based on audit results or regulatory recommendations.
Prepare ad hoc reports as needed and complete other duties as necessary.
What skills and qualities will help you succeed in this role?
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
At least two years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
An interest in obtaining FINRA licenses (S7, S24).
Bilingual in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).
Knowledge of FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and SEC regulations.
Familiarity with industry regulations, financial industry products, and broker-dealer operations.
Knowledge of Banco Central rules.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
